Sencha Yuzu is a Japanese green tea that combines traditional Sencha green tea with the flavor of the Japanese citrus fruit, yuzu. This tangy-sweet citrus, reminiscent of a blend of lemon, orange, and grapefruit, imparts a unique refreshing and aromatic note to the tea. Blended with yuzu, the tea gains an added freshness that, paired with the gentle umami taste of Sencha, creates a harmonious beverage. Sencha Yuzu is an excellent choice for those seeking a refreshing drink with a balanced flavor that bridges the soft umami of green tea and a vibrant citrus touch.

Preparation Guide
Use 4-5 g of tea and pour 60°C hot water over it. Let the leaves steep just long enough for the needle-like leaves to fully open, so there’s no need to watch the clock, simply observe the tea.
For the second infusion, use 80°C hot water and steep the tea for only a few seconds. For the third infusion, use 100°C hot water and again steep it for just a few seconds. This method allows you to enjoy the tea at different levels of intensity and discover the flavor that suits you best.

The Wisdom of Tea
The Boy and the Bird
As a child, I often sat on the stone fence by my father’s tea garden. I was a quiet boy. One summer morning, I brought with me a cup of freshly brewed sencha. In the distance, a heron sang. For the first time, I noticed that tea too can sound like a bird: bright, swift, with an echo of bitterness. My father said: “Sencha never lies. If you are restless, that is what you will drink. If you are happy, that too.” It was the first tea that taught me how to listen to myself.
